info:
William & Mary’s Integrated Science concept hinges on housing researchers and siting resources to promote interdepartmental collaboration as well as shared access to scientific instruments. Phase 3 will complete the triangle of the existing ISC 1 and ISC 2 facilities. The new four-story, 113,000 sf ISC 3 has a core that contains laboratories and shared instrumentation. Around the periphery are offices for scientists, a 300-seat lecture hall, and a two-story commons area.
Rhino’s fire alarm system design for the new ISC 3 facility provides elevator recall, individual building alarm, trouble and supervisory status, and the future capability for mass notification functions. It also has the ability to easily retrofit in the event of future facility modification, and interfaces with the existing fire alarm systems in ISC 1 and ISC 2.
